Here is a fine restored example of a 1943 BMW R75 WH Desert Tan Gespann. Everything you see on the motorcycle is included, except the locks on the ammo cans and the "Spritzer" on the right knee guard. The 2-part tonneau cover stored in the trunk, the shovel and the rear ammo can go with it, too.The motorcyle runs perfect and is well maintained. The BMW R75 was purchased in 2002 from Vech at Benchmark Works, who was selling it for a friend in Germany. The tranmission had been rebuilt in Germany and Vech had done some additional work on the motorcycle. Most everything on the motorcycle is original. Since the owner wanted everything as perfect as poosible, he fixed quite a number of things, mostly minor, including rebuilding the magneto (not so minor!), reparing the voltage regulator, rebuilding the Graetzin carburators, repaired the differential lock and installed the MG carrier and shovel. Since he has owned it, he has put perhaps 200 KM on the bike, mostly to car and bike shows. The R75 gets started and driven for several miles (engine and transmission are brought up to normal operating temperature) once a month. They follow a regular maintenance routine that includes lube jobs, annual oil changes, caburator, shift linkage, brake and tire checks and adjustments. The motorcycle is for sale because he owns two of them. Nothing is wrong with this bike. The motorcycle has a clear California title.
