BMW 1949 R35 Motorcycle
Here we have a very nice BMW R35 that is perfect for a reenactor or collector on a budget .Before I rant about what reenactors are using, this bike is 100 times better than those crappy Yang Chang's! The BMW R35 was made after the war and used the exact same parts as war time production. Almost every single BMW R35 you see now of days are a mix match of pre war,war time and post war parts which was done on the same tooling as WW2 German bikes. Very few BMW R35's are actual all pre war parts. This BMW R35 is painted in tan and has been restored on a very good level. The frame has been sand blasted and repainted. The motor has been bead blasted and cleaned very well. The clutch is new and works great. The transmission shifts into all the gears and functions perfect. The motor has great compression and appears too be nice and tight inside. The push rod tubes have been replaced trying to fix the typical leaky push rod tubes but like all R35's they still leak a bit. The generator has been removed, rebuilt and tested. This generator pumps out 6 volts perfect. The front forks work great, no leaks and it has new fork boots. The bike brakes fine and has new tires on it. This bike has the smaller short metal pannier bags which is a different but nice touch. I actually prefer the leather ones and if you changed them out, all of the brackets are there and you just need the bags. The bike has an original rear seat that is D.R.P marked and original with the wood handel. The head lamp bucket is real and has the correct early war switch and lights. This bike is ready too ride. Battery not included!
